The insider elaborated on the singer's apparent rootlessness, stating: "Keith doesn't know where home is any more. He's focusing on work and that keeps him in Nashville, but this is a guy who was born in New Zealand, grew up in Australia and raised a family in the USA. He's lost any navigational device."

She was pictured beaming while carrying an elaborately decorated cake for daughter Faith Margaret's 15th birthday in late December, the cake adorned with the words 'Happy 15th birthday baby!'. Kidman celebrated the holidays with her two daughters, Faith and Sunday Rose, 17.
