Nicola Peltz's 'Love Being Home' Post Is Fresh Swipe at Beckhams After Brooklyn Skips Wedding
Nicola Peltz's fresh swipe at Beckhams after wedding snub

The ongoing rift within the Beckham family appears to have widened further, following a pointed social media post from Nicola Peltz Beckham. The move came after her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, chose not to attend the wedding of his childhood friend, Holly Ramsay, an event where his parents David and Victoria were also guests.

A Telling Selfie Amidst The Tension

In the wake of the lavish Somerset wedding celebrations, which Brooklyn, 26, opted to skip, his wife Nicola, 30, shared a mirror selfie on Instagram. The accompanying caption, 'Love being home', was seen by many as a deliberate message. The photo was taken in Los Angeles, where the couple spent Christmas with Nicola's billionaire family, rather than returning to the UK.

This post is the latest in a series of actions perceived as deepening the divide. Just days earlier, Nicola was accused of 'twisting the knife' by sharing festive photos showing Brooklyn happily celebrating with her parents, Nelson Peltz and Claudia Heffner, in Miami. Their decision to remain in the US over the holidays and for Holly Ramsay's wedding has highlighted the continued estrangement.

Childhood Friendships and Family Fallouts

The Beckham and Ramsay families have been close since the early 2000s, bonding after both relocated to the United States. With children of similar ages, they grew up together, with Brooklyn becoming particularly close to Holly Ramsay and her twin brother, Jack. The families were frequently photographed on joint holidays, from sunny beaches to ski trips.

However, a source revealed the recent snub 'went down like a lead balloon' with Holly's protective parents, Gordon and Tana Ramsay. "David and Victoria see Gordon and Tana almost as family. The kids all grew up together," the insider told the Daily Mail. "Brooklyn always loved his time with them all but his and Jack’s friendship isn’t really there any more which is a great shame."

The source added that the Ramsays maintain an 'open door' policy for Brooklyn, but noted he has grown distant from many old friends. "Should Brooklyn have been there, there would have been quite the scene, what with his parents being there," they concluded.

A Year of Escalating Estrangement

Tensions have been publicly simmering throughout 2025. Concerns were first raised in May when Brooklyn was absent from celebrations for his father David's 50th birthday. The issues are believed to stem from the couple's 2022 wedding, with reports of a crisis in relations ever since.

In a significant move last summer, Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows in an extravagant August ceremony that notably included none of the Beckham family. The estrangement reached a new digital low last weekend when Brooklyn's younger brother, Cruz Beckham, revealed that Brooklyn had blocked their parents on social media, clarifying that David and Victoria had not unfollowed their son.

Brooklyn's current priorities seem firmly aligned with his wife and her family. This was underscored by a Christmas Instagram post showing him holding hands with Nicola, her name tattooed on his hand, while celebrating with her parents in Florida.
