Singer and television personality Peter Andre has disclosed he required urgent dental treatment following a painful on-stage incident where an over-enthusiastic fan kicked a microphone into his face.
A Painful On-Stage Mishap
The 52-year-old 'Mysterious Girl' performer recounted the distressing event via his Instagram Stories on Tuesday while travelling to have the damage repaired. Andre explained that during a recent performance, he invited audience members to join him on stage, as is his custom.
One individual, who Andre suggested had consumed 'too much to drink', leapt up and kicked their leg, inadvertently striking the microphone the singer was holding. The force drove the microphone directly into Andre's mouth, causing significant damage. "The mic went straight into my tooth and chipped it badly," he said. "I was in absolute pain, it caused a few chips actually. Talk about a kick in the teeth."
Emergency Dental Treatment and Recovery
Thankfully, Andre was able to seek prompt help at DentaQuest, a clinic within an aesthetics practice run by his wife Emily's brother, Tom. The emergency procedure successfully restored his teeth. "Look what they done, they put my original teeth back to normal. I'm so happy," a relieved Andre told his followers after the appointment.
Family Festivities Amid Ongoing Feud
The dental drama emerged against the backdrop of Andre's Christmas celebrations, which highlighted the co-parenting arrangement he maintains with his ex-wife, Katie Price. Their two eldest children, Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, split the festive day between their parents.
Andre shared images on Instagram of a Christmas morning spent with Junior, Princess, his wife Emily, and their younger children—Arabella, Millie, and Theo—all dressed in matching tartan pyjamas. "In these moments today, I am the happiest man in the world," he captioned the post.
Later on Christmas Day, Katie Price, 47, posted a selfie with Princess, captioning it: "Me and my Princess. Just a one off picture from my Christmas Day but I'm surrounded with all my family." This reunion followed a public fallout related to Princess's new ITV2 reality series, The Princess Diaries, from which Katie was excluded.
Katie had previously expressed feeling "disrespected," suggesting Andre's management team was behind the snub. Princess has since revealed she believes neither of her parents has actually watched the finished show.
Junior explained the family's holiday logistics to The Sun, stating he planned to spend "Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at my dad's" before going to his "mum's for the afternoon." The arrangements underscore the ongoing, albeit managed, dynamics within the famous family.
