Robbie Williams has been left with half a tooth after a morning brushing mishap, but his dentist is thousands of miles away and his wife appears to have little sympathy. The former Take That singer revealed that his front tooth chipped off while he was brushing, and it will take some time to get his mouth sorted.
The Freak Accident
Taking to Instagram to detail the incident, Robbie wrote: 'So I brushed my teeth last night. Walking back to bed, my tongue was doing something new… a new crevice, a new nook. To be honest, it felt cool. I hadn't put two and tooth together until I smiled at Ayda and she took a sharp intake of breath. It was then I realised: 'Ah. New cool feeling is half a tooth missing.' Ayda laughed. I laughed. Then she said I look like Dumb and Dumber. Fair enough. I guess I do.'
Dental Dilemma
With his dentist based in Los Angeles and him currently in Miami, Robbie faces a five-hour flight to get his tooth fixed. He asked fans: 'Does this mean I have to fly five hours to fix it? Or… is this my new look now? If I can't get it done in time, should I just black it out like '95 Glasto? What you saying? Is this a repair or a rebrand?' He signed off humorously: 'Namaste FFS, Lobby Wiwams x'.
Previous Health Issues
This is not the first health issue for Robbie. He previously revealed that he was diagnosed with scurvy due to severe undernourishment after using an appetite-suppressant drug to lose weight. He shed nearly two stone but stopped eating, leading to a vitamin C deficiency. 'A 17th-century pirate disease,' he told the Mirror.
Mental Health Struggles
Robbie also opened up about experiencing depression for the first time in a decade. He realised it might be linked to his diet, prompting an overhaul. He said: 'The year started with some ill mental health, which I haven't had for a very, very long time. I was sad, I was anxious, I was depressed.' He added that he thought he had moved past such struggles, but the return was confusing. Fortunately, the dark cloud has now lifted.
