Sinitta, the 62-year-old singer known for her 80s hits and recent stint on the all-stars edition of I'm A Celebrity... in South Africa, has revealed a dramatic career change. She has become a pastor, insisting that church is not just for “goody two shoes” people.
Spiritual Journey
In a candid new interview with Closer Magazine, Sinitta opened up about her spirituality and how her role as a pastor has helped her through “hardships.” She shared: “I’m big on spirituality which I know isn’t sexy. Not a lot of people know, but I’m a pastor. It’s got me through hardships and given me an inner confidence.” She added, “People think church is for goody two shoes, but if that was the case, why on earth would they let me in?”
Love Life Update
Sinitta, who has had an on-off romance with Simon Cowell and a dalliance with Brad Pitt, also teased that she has found a new man. She said: “I’ve always wanted the traditional fairy tale, even if it is a bit girly and old-fashioned. You think it’s meant to be over and done with at my age, and that you’re never going to meet anyone - but it’s taken me by surprise in every way. I’ve found someone who makes me very happy. He is different to my type. I didn’t see it at first, because you kind of repeat what you did before, but I’ve realised this is my person.”
Past Relationships
Sinitta was previously married to Andy Willner for around eight years, with whom she shares children Zac and Magdalena. They separated in 2010. She most recently dated a mystery man, but hinted at their split in January after one year together. In an empowering Instagram post, she wrote: “There is nothing wrong with starting the year single. Being Alone is also a gift. Time to reflect, learn and grow peacefully and in your own time.” She encouraged her followers to embrace solitude, saying, “Don’t be afraid to be alone, embrace it and celebrate you.”
