Stacey Solomon Defiantly Wears £35k Wedding Ring Amid Marriage Bombshell
Stacey Solomon has been spotted defiantly wearing her £35,000 diamond wedding band, just hours after reports surfaced that she and Joe Swash are not legally married. The Loose Women star ensured her silver jewellery was on full display as she was seen looking animated during a phone call on Tuesday.
Marriage License Never Obtained
Stacey, 36, has defended her four-year marriage to Joe, 44, after being seen without her ring on numerous occasions in recent weeks. The pair tied the knot in the grounds of their family home, Pickle Cottage, back in 2022, surrounded by their closest friends and family. However, they did not obtain a marriage license for the garden ceremony and never officially sealed the deal, sources have claimed.
"They always intended to do the legal part, but with six kids and busy diaries just haven't got round to it - life has got in the way," a source told The Sun.
Defiant Display with Opulent Ring
In defiance of the claims, Stacey had her wedding ring firmly on as she broke cover for the first time since the allegations emerged. Despite this, Joe splashed out a staggering £35,000 on a bespoke-designed wedding band, set with Australian opals and a redesigned diamond.
Speaking about not legally marrying in 2022, Stacey explained: "As this is our private family home and we need it to remain that way, we couldn't go for that option. So we are having a relaxed private blessing in front of our closest friends and family, and a ceremony of our love to each other, and we will register our marriage legally after... Hope that helps."
Casual Outing Amid Controversy
Stacey headed out after the news of her marriage emerged, but didn't seem too bothered. The telly star, known for her DIY hacks on social media, was spotted with her sister, Jemma. Although Stacey is no stranger to glamming up, she opted for a more casual look for her outing to the football game today.
Stacey looked distracted as she spoke on the phone. On Wednesday, it emerged that she and Joe Swash never legally tied the knot.
