Sydney Sweeney's Candid Confession on Body Insecurities and Hollywood Journey

Actress Sydney Sweeney has made a remarkably honest admission about her early struggles with body image as she reflects on her personal path toward self-assurance in the competitive world of Hollywood. The 28-year-old star, who rose to prominence playing Cassie in the hit series Euphoria, revealed that she found it difficult to feel comfortable with her natural curves during her teenage years.

From Insecurity to Empowerment

Now fully embracing body positivity, Sweeney has launched her own lingerie brand called Syrn and proudly models the daring pieces herself. Despite the confidence she exudes in sultry campaign photographs, the actress acknowledged that the road to self-acceptance was not always smooth or straightforward.

'I grew up with boobs. I was wearing a 32DD in sixth grade, and I never felt confident,' she told UsWeekly in a recent interview. 'I never had anything I felt good in, and I just wanted to hide. It wasn’t until Cassie in Euphoria that I started realizing it’s actually powerful to be confident; our bodies are incredible. We should embrace [them] and feel really good in our skin.'

The Euphoria Effect and Lingerie Line Launch

Indeed, Sweeney's portrayal of Cassie in the HBO teen drama, alongside co-star Zendaya, played a pivotal role in helping her embrace her physique, as the character is famously known for being sexually confident and body positive. In her personal life, she now follows that same philosophy, using her new lingerie collection to celebrate her figure authentically.

She shared with Us Weekly that one of her favorite items, a black corset, has become her 'date night go-to'. 'That’s why I made it, because I don’t like to get too dressed up; I’m more of a jeans girl,' Sweeney explained. 'I could not find a top that made me feel hot without being too much. But this is perfect. You can tie it as tight as you want, so you can make ’em pop as much as you want! The shape is amazing.'

Personal Touches and Brand Vision

Sweeney also opened up about the intimate details in her Syrn line that bring her the greatest pride. 'There are usually little messages in my pieces. I love hearts. Even our logo, my two Ss, is a heart,' she said. 'And on the straps of [the bras], all the sliders have hearts. I like to personalise things as much as I can. … I play dress up now with my own [SYRN] stuff.'

The actress previously revealed that her initial collection 'sold out in HOURS!!' and added, 'We're working on a restock soon. I'm so grateful. I love you allll,' via social media. Ahead of the launch, the Euphoria star ensured the marketing was as bold as her designs, posing in provocative shots and even executing a publicity stunt at the iconic Hollywood sign.

Future Ventures and Inclusive Philosophy

Now, Sweeney appears to be expanding her horizons into the beauty industry. Insiders report that the actress has filed a trademark indicating potential future business ventures. According to WWD, trademark attorney Josh Gerben noted a submission to the US Patent and Trademark Office dated January 16 for Syrn, covering skincare, cosmetics, and beauty care products.

The filing is categorized as an 'intent-to-use' application, suggesting products might be in development or the trademark is being secured for future utilization. No specific details on products or innovations were included in the official paperwork.

Sweeney further articulated her vision for the brand, stressing that every piece is crafted to accommodate a 'beautiful range of body types.' She told Cosmopolitan magazine: 'My designers are all women, and I have an amazing diverse team. My models are a beautiful range of body types. I'm always like: 'I want to see it on every body.' 'I can't be the only model. I need to make sure everyone feels really good in it ... If I wouldn't wear it, I wouldn't want to make it.'
