Kylie Jenner Sued by Former Housekeeper Over Alleged Toxic and Abusive Work Environment
Reality television star and business mogul Kylie Jenner is facing a lawsuit from a former housekeeper who claims she endured a toxic and abusive work environment while employed at Jenner's Los Angeles residence. The legal action, filed on Friday, details serious allegations of harassment and discrimination that span nearly a year.
Details of the Allegations and Timeline
Angelica Hernandez Vasquez, who identifies as a Salvadoran woman and a practicing Catholic, began working for Jenner in September 2024. According to court documents, she was subjected to a hostile atmosphere until her resignation in August 2025. Vasquez asserts that she experienced discrimination, harassment, and retaliation based on her race, national origin, religion, and an unspecified disability.
Although Jenner, aged 28, is not directly accused of personal offensive behavior in the filing, she is named as a defendant alongside two companies: Tri Star Services and Maison Family Services. Representatives for Jenner have not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the allegations.
Specific Incidents of Harassment and Discrimination
Vasquez's complaint outlines multiple instances of mistreatment by fellow staff members and supervisors at the Hidden Hills mansion. She claims she was routinely assigned the most difficult tasks, excluded from the housekeeping team, and publicly belittled in front of coworkers. The alleged harassment included mocking her accent, snapping fingers at her, and forcing her to complete other employees' work.
In a particularly severe incident in March 2025, Vasquez alleges that a supervisor threw hangers at her feet during a reprimand, escalating the conflict to a violent level. She reported these concerns to Jenner and the involved companies, but states that no corrective action was taken, with her complaints being dismissed, mocked, or ignored.
Additional Claims of Unpaid Wages and Emotional Distress
Beyond the harassment, Vasquez contends that she was ordered to work at properties associated with Jenner's boyfriend, likely referring to actor Timothée Chalamet's home in Beverly Hills, without reimbursement for transportation costs. This led to a loss of wages, compounding her financial struggles.
The stressful environment allegedly caused Vasquez to develop anxiety, severe stress, and symptoms consistent with post-traumatic stress disorder. She took medical leave in July 2025 and resigned the following month, citing intolerable working conditions. She is now seeking damages for unpaid wages, emotional distress, and other related losses.
This lawsuit highlights ongoing issues of workplace treatment in high-profile households, with Vasquez's case bringing attention to the need for accountability and fair labor practices.
