Christmas Spoilers: Drama Unfolds on the Cobbles
The festive season in Weatherfield is set to be anything but peaceful. Debbie Webster's hen do will be a focal point, but her financial plans will leave her brother, Kevin Webster, dismayed. Kevin's own troubles spiral as he confesses to James Bailey that he sent a regrettable text after receiving some awful news, leading James to threaten exposing the secret to his partner, Abi Franklin.
Over at The Rovers, Eva Price is rattled by her daughter Susie's comments and confides in former flame Adam Barlow. The situation escalates when Maggie finds a letter from Eva and, shocked by its contents, hatches a plan. She invites Adam and his partner Alya for Christmas dinner, along with Megan and Daniel. When Eva realises her letter is missing, the truth threatens to unravel, culminating in her husband Ben being left floored by a Christmas gift.
Danger, Deceit and Desperate Measures
Elsewhere, danger surrounds Costello, who is showing signs of improvement after an attack orchestrated by Becky Swain. Panicked by news he is being moved to a rehab clinic, Becky takes drastic action, leaving Costello horrified.
Carla Connor's whereabouts also spark concern. After Carla informs Lisa she wants her name off their mortgage, Lisa is hurt. Becky urges Lisa to forget about Carla, but a concerning discovery soon leaves Lisa fearing the worst.
It's not a merry Christmas for everyone, as Todd Grimshaw dreads the festivities while his abusive partner, Theo, lashes out yet again. However, there will be sweet scenes for Sally Metcalfe, Joanie, and Shanice as they try to visit their mum, Lou, in prison.
The festive period will close with dark scenes, as an attack on the cobbles leaves one character left for dead, ensuring the drama continues into the New Year. Coronation Street airs on ITV1 and ITV X.
