Corrie Christmas Spoilers: Grooming Shock & Bombshells

Coronation Street is set for a dramatic and unsettling week in the run-up to Christmas, with a sickening grooming storyline reaching a critical point and major family secrets exploding into the open.

Will's Grooming Ordeal Takes a Disturbing Turn

The soap's harrowing plot involving teenager Will Driscoll and his athletics coach, Megan, escalates dangerously. Will, who has been hiding the inappropriate relationship from his family, confides in friend Brody Michaelis that he might ask Megan out. As his 16th birthday arrives, he is initially disappointed when his dad Ben and stepmother Eva pretend to have forgotten.

The situation takes a darker turn when Will finds Megan, who wishes him a happy birthday. He pointedly reminds her he is now 16 and hands her a hotel key card, wanting to spend time with her later. While his family decorates the pub for a secret party for him, they cannot reach him, oblivious to the danger he is in.

At the Chariot Square hotel, Will tells Megan he loves her and she claims to feel the same, before suggesting they go to bed. However, Ben soon learns from Steve McDonald that Will was seen entering the hotel. After Will and Megan sleep together, they are panic-stricken when a furious knocking starts at the door – and it's Ben. Will Megan finally be exposed?

Dee-Dee's Big News and a Family Crisis

In other news, Dee-Dee Bailey reveals to her father Ed that she has landed a new job. Delighted, Ed organises a family celebration at the bistro. However, a second major bombshell is soon dropped that leaves the entire Bailey family reeling.

The celebration is soured when Dee-Dee's brother James fails to show up. It emerges that James has been messaging his secret lover, Carl Webster, claiming it was a drunken mistake. The pair are thrown into panic when Carl loses his phone, terrified that his partner, Abi Franklin, will find the incriminating messages meant for him.

A Special Episode and More Street Drama

The week also features a groundbreaking special episode focusing on the escalating domestic abuse storyline between Todd Grimshaw and Theo Silverton. Following a domestic incident, the police are called. The episode is shown through a series of flashbacks from the perspective of various cameras, including Todd’s hidden camera, CCTV, and police body cams – a format first for the soap.

Elsewhere on the Street, Joanie and Shanice are caught trying to steal from the shop. After Sally Metcalfe bans Joanie from a girls' party, Joanie lashes out, telling Sally she will never replace her mother. Meanwhile, Cassie Plummer's mean comments lead to revenge from Tracy Barlow.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
