Emmerdale's Danny Miller Accidentally Reveals Major Corriedale Spoiler in Live Interview
Danny Miller Drops Corriedale Spoiler, Instantly Regrets It

In a classic case of a live interview going awry, Emmerdale star Danny Miller appears to have dropped a significant spoiler about the upcoming Corriedale crossover event, instantly regretting his revelation.

Live Broadcast Blunder Hints at Character Fate

Miller, who plays fan favourite Aaron Dingle, was speaking on Talksport when he seemingly let slip that his character makes it through the highly-anticipated special episode alive. The actor, 34, mentioned his contract runs "until next year," before quickly adding, "but anything can happen." Realising the implication of his words, he panicked, stating: "Yeah, I just suddenly realised I probably shouldn’t have said that. So I don’t really know what to do from here!"

This slip-up comes amidst rampant speculation over which characters might perish in the explosive one-night-only event that merges the worlds of Coronation Street and Emmerdale. The crossover, dubbed 'Corriedale', is set to air on January 5 at 8pm on ITV.

Pulse-Racing Teaser Trailer Sets the Scene

Earlier this week, ITV released a gripping 30-second teaser hinting at the high-stakes drama to come. The trailer depicts the aftermath of a terrifying multi-vehicle pile-up, bringing characters from both soaps together in chaos.

Key moments from the preview include:

  • Emmerdale's Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) taking control of the situation.
  • A frantic Carla Connor (Alison King) attempting to calm someone down.
  • Emmerdale paramedic Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) tending to injured Corrie duo David and Shona Platt (Jack P Shepherd and Julia Goulding).
  • Aaron's ex-husband, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), desperately searching for him in the dark.

The drama also involves two pregnant women: Shona Platt and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins). Charity is later seen trying to calm a screaming Shona within Hotten General Hospital. The trailer concludes with Kevin and Abi Webster (Michael Le Vell and Sally Carman-Duttine) searching for Debbie (Sue Devaney) at the crash site.

A Soap Event Years in the Making

This special episode is designed as a celebration of the soap genre and will launch ITV’s new 'soap power hour' scheduling pattern. Regular half-hour episodes of each soap will air earlier that evening, with Emmerdale at 7pm and Coronation Street at 7.30pm. These episodes will also be available on ITVX from 7am that morning.

Iain MacLeod, ITV Executive Producer for Continuing Drama, expressed his excitement: "It’s beyond exciting that filming is underway on Corriedale. There is a massive buzz... As a soap fan myself, I think my head is going to explode when the episode airs next year. It will be mind-blowing, historical and unmissable."

ITV has confirmed that while the episode is self-contained, the consequences will have lasting repercussions, linking the two communities forever as familiar faces depart and new characters arrive. Viewers now have the tantalising hint from Danny Miller's gaffe that Aaron Dingle might just be one of the survivors.
