Stallions Engage in Natural Sparring at Cambridgeshire Nature Reserve
Photographs have captured a remarkable display of natural behaviour at the National Trust's Wicken Fen nature reserve in Cambridgeshire, where two stallions were seen rearing up on their hind legs and sparring with each other. This striking interaction is part of the innate conduct of male Konik ponies, a hardy breed that originates from Poland, particularly during the foaling season.

The Konik ponies were introduced to the Wicken Fen reserve back in 2001 with a specific purpose: to enhance biodiversity.
