A British man has tragically lost his life following a severe road traffic collision on Spain's Costa Blanca, which involved a vehicle driven by a Belfast-born OnlyFans model. The incident has sparked a manslaughter investigation and brought renewed attention to the model's recent legal troubles.
Details of the Fatal Collision
The fatal accident occurred around 7pm last Friday on the A-70 motorway in the municipality of El Campello, near Alicante. The victim, an unnamed 54-year-old British man, was one of four British nationals travelling in a Nissan Qashqai. The group, comprising two men and two women all in their fifties, were involved in a collision with a BMW driven by 21-year-old Madison, a model originally from Belfast.
Immediate Aftermath and Investigation
According to local reports, the Nissan Qashqai was struck from behind by the BMW allegedly driven by Madison. The impact caused the Nissan to smash into a central reservation crash barrier. Tragically, the 54-year-old man, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene, confirming they were unable to save him. It remains unclear whether he was a holidaymaker or a local resident.
Madison was read her rights at the crash site but was not formally arrested. She has since been informed that she is under investigation for suspected manslaughter, though the timing of any court summons is not yet known. Neither Madison nor her husband, 28-year-old Johnny Smyth, also from Belfast, sustained injuries in the incident.
Model's History of Legal Controversies
This incident marks the third time in just four months that Madison has found herself at the centre of controversy. In September, the glamour model spent ten days in custody after police stopped her Audi A5 Cabrio and discovered nearly a kilogram of crystal meth and 30 grams of cannabis resin. She secured conditional release after paying 20,000 euros in bail.
Her second arrest occurred last month when two loaded pistols were found in a car she was driving during a police stop. Three other men were in the vehicle; two were detained (a British national and an Irish national), while the third fled. Madison and the two detained men continue to be investigated for unlawful weapons possession.
Connection to Separate Homicide Case
Amidst these events, Madison continues to assert that her partner, Johnny Smyth, had no involvement in the homicide of John George, a father-of-one, in December 2024. George's body was discovered in an orchard in Rojales near Torrevieja in January last year, following his disappearance the previous month.
Two men, including Smyth, were arrested in connection with the murder and are currently on bail. Smyth was held on an international arrest warrant in Portugal last March after fleeing his expat home, extradited to Spain in April, and released on bail last month after paying 100,000 euros. Spanish Civil Guard officers confirmed in April that George was shot dead on December 14, 2024, and announced the completion of their murder investigation.
The unfolding situation highlights a complex web of legal issues surrounding the individuals involved, with the latest crash adding a tragic dimension to an already contentious narrative.
