Police have executed search warrants at three addresses in Crewe, South Cheshire, following serious allegations of sexual abuse, modern slavery, and forced marriage involving a religious group.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: 'Officers from Cheshire Police, with support from colleagues from neighbouring forces, are currently conducting a warrant at three addresses in Crewe following allegations of serious sexual abuse, modern slavery, and forced marriage which are reported to have occurred at a religious group in Crewe. The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward. No arrests have been confirmed at this stage.
