Police have executed search warrants at three addresses in Crewe, South Cheshire, following serious allegations of sexual abuse, modern slavery, and forced marriage involving a religious group.

Officers from Cheshire Police, supported by neighbouring forces, conducted the raids on Wednesday morning. The operation targets a religious group in the town after concerns were raised by the public.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: 'Officers from Cheshire Police, with support from colleagues from neighbouring forces, are currently conducting a warrant at three addresses in Crewe following allegations of serious sexual abuse, modern slavery, and forced marriage which are reported to have occurred at a religious group in Crewe. Further details will be provided when available.'
The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward. No arrests have been confirmed at this stage.
