Diletta Leotta, the glamorous television presenter and wife of former Liverpool and Newcastle United goalkeeper Loris Karius, has openly discussed the intimate details of their marriage in a revealing podcast interview. The 34-year-old DAZN Serie A host, who married the 32-year-old FC Schalke shot-stopper in June 2024, rated herself as a perfect '10' in bed during the candid conversation.
Intimate Revelations and Family Life
Appearing on a podcast with Italian sports presenter Victoria Cabello, Leotta provided unexpected insights into her private life with the German goalkeeper. When asked to rate her sexual performance, she confidently declared "10" before elaborating with a volcanic metaphor: "You know, the volcano of Etna, Sicily. I like it. The heat."
Pressed about her preferred sexual positions, Leotta emphasized creativity and variety, stating: "Fantasy. Always something new, different." The couple, who began dating in 2022, welcomed their first child Aria in 2023 before marrying in an extravagant ceremony on the Italian island of Vulcano. They announced in December that they are expecting their second child later this year.
Navigating Long-Distance Challenges
The international nature of their careers presents significant challenges, with Leotta splitting her time between Italy and Germany for her broadcasting work while Karius plays for Schalke in Gelsenkirchen. Karius has admitted the difficulty of spending limited time with his wife and daughter, but revealed their bond remains strong enough that Leotta has "even advised me to extend at Schalke."
"She thinks the club is great and she likes everything she has seen here so far," Karius explained. "Diletta also thinks that royal blue is the perfect choice for my sporting success. She is fully behind this decision!" The goalkeeper relies on technology to maintain family connections, noting: "That's what FaceTime is for, and we see each other regularly - as often as possible."
Professional Criticism and Fashion Defense
Leotta's high-profile career as a football presenter has attracted both admiration and criticism, particularly regarding her fashion choices on air. Fellow presenter Valentina Maceri has included Leotta among broadcasters whose style borders on "vulgarity" and who she believes lack "professionalism."
However, Leotta has firmly defended her approach, telling La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Of course I feel it (people being obsessed with aesthetics). But I feel part of a shift in the perception of women as presenters and journalists, which I think is finally taking hold."
Balancing Image and Substance
The presenter emphasized that while appearance matters in television, competence remains paramount. "It's clear that image is part of our job, especially for those in television, but if you turn out to be a container without substance, you won't get very far," she asserted.
Leotta continued: "Even today, I study, I prepare, I try to stay up to date: that's the key. Also, a nice dress is a pleasure to wear; being well-groomed, pretty, and pleasant to look at, I think, is also a matter of respect for the viewer, but I think that applies in any work environment."
Karius's Football Renaissance
Meanwhile, Karius has experienced a professional resurgence at FC Schalke, nearly eight years after his disastrous performance in the 2018 Champions League final for Liverpool. Described by some as the "phoenix of football" for his comeback, the goalkeeper is now focused on helping Schalke return to Germany's top flight.
The former Germany international has noted the irony that his wife receives more public recognition than he does when they're together in Milan, highlighting Leotta's significant profile in Italian media circles. Despite their professional successes and public visibility, the couple maintains that their relationship thrives on intimacy, creativity, and mutual support across international borders.
