Sarah Ferguson 'to leave UK and Andrew' over Epstein scandal fallout
Fergie 'to flee UK for Portugal' amid Epstein scandal

Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, is reportedly preparing to make a dramatic exit from the United Kingdom amid the ongoing fallout from her connections to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

A Planned Escape to Portugal

According to a close friend, Fergie is eyeing a guest suite at a £3.6 million luxury oceanfront villa in Portugal. This property is owned by her daughter, Princess Eugenie, and Eugenie's husband, businessman Jack Brooksbank. This potential move signals a significant life change as she and her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, prepare to vacate their long-term home, the Royal Lodge, early next year.

The Epstein Email Controversy

The scandal deepened for Ferguson when a 2011 email she sent to Epstein was revealed. In the message, written after Epstein's initial conviction for child sex offences, she referred to the disgraced financier as a "supreme friend" and offered him an apology for her previous public criticism.

This communication directly contradicted her public statements, where she had labelled her association with him a "gigantic error of judgement" and claimed she would "have nothing ever to do with Jeffrey Epstein ever again".

A spokesperson for Ferguson later clarified that the email was sent to counter a threat of legal action from Epstein, describing it as an attempt to appease him.

Mounting Pressure and Personal Turmoil

The relentless pressure from the scandal's resurgence has taken a severe personal toll. Royal expert Phil Dampier, citing one of Fergie's friends, revealed that she has been on the "verge of a nervous breakdown". In a show of support, her older sister, Jane, has reportedly flown to the UK from Australia to comfort her.

The consequences have been professional as well; Fergie was removed from multiple charities following the disclosure of the controversial email.

Meanwhile, Prince Andrew, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing related to his former friend Epstein's crimes, is expected to move into the Sandringham estate after being stripped of his royal titles by his brother, King Charles.
