Gladiators Star Giant Reveals BBC Ultimatum Over Girlfriend's OnlyFans
Giant Hits Out at BBC Over Ultimatum

Gladiators star Giant has spoken out after his departure from the BBC reboot, revealing he was given an ultimatum over his girlfriend's OnlyFans career. The 40-year-old, whose real name is Jamie Bigg, announced last week he would not return for season four, citing something that "did not align" with his values.

Behind-the-Scenes Ultimatum

Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, April 29, Jamie explained that BBC producers were aware of his relationship with Taylor Ryan, who creates adult content on OnlyFans. After a successful third season, he was told his contract would not be renewed due to the relationship.

"At a later point, I was told that the season four contract wasn't being renewed because of my relationship," Jamie said. He added that the reasoning was unclear: "It wasn't explained, I think you'll have to ask them for a statement on that as well, because my dismissal's been very unclear."

Not His Choice

Jamie emphasised that leaving was not his decision. "I was faced with an ultimatum and something didn't sit right with my values and principles," he said. "I class myself as a role model and one of those values, as a role model, is to stick by the people I love." He also clarified that he and Taylor were not together during filming of season three, but conversations began when they went public on social media.

BBC Response

A Gladiators spokesperson said: "After three formidable series, Giant is leaving Gladiators. We'd like to thank him for everything he has contributed to the show and wish him well for the future." The Mirror has contacted representatives for further comment.

Jamie's girlfriend Taylor also appeared on the show, standing by his side as he shared his side of the story. Fans have expressed support for the star, with many calling the situation an injustice.

Gladiators is available on BBC iPlayer, and Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am.
