Police believe the man accused of stabbing two Jewish men in north London in an antisemitic terror attack was involved in another "knife altercation" just hours earlier.
Two men, named locally as Shloime Rand, 34, and Moshe Shine, 76, were stabbed in Golders Green, north London, at around 11:15 am yesterday. A 45-year-old British national, born in Somalia, is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The Metropolitan Police said detectives are also investigating an incident at an address in south-east London that was reported at around 8:30 am. "The suspect, who is reported to have been armed with a knife, is believed to have had an altercation with the occupant before leaving. The occupant received minor injuries and police arrived within around six minutes of being called," the force said.
