Sinitta Defends Bullard and Haye in I'm a Celeb Row

Sinitta has come to the defence of Jimmy Bullard and David Haye after a tumultuous live final of I'm a Celebrity... South Africa. The All Stars series, marred by bullying allegations and heated disputes among cast members including Adam Thomas, Jimmy, and David, descended into chaos on Saturday during the live finale.

Chaotic Finale

Adam Thomas, 37, emerged as the winner and was given the chance to speak with Jimmy after allegedly calling him the 'C-word' during an explosive clash. The altercation erupted when Jimmy called out 'I'm a Celebrity' during a trial, placing Adam at risk of elimination. The situation escalated to the point where Gemma Collins and Sinitta stormed off stage as Jimmy confronted each campmate to ask if they found Adam's behaviour 'aggressive and abusive'.

Sinitta's Statement

In a lengthy statement shared on Sunday, Sinitta reflected on her experience and urged caution with the term 'bully'. She wrote: 'I really wish everyone had been given a proper chance to speak last night... I hate that people are being called bullies and that there's bad blood between us. I had a wonderful time with everyone, despite one difficult incident.' She emphasised that the word 'bully' is a serious accusation not to be used lightly, adding: 'There are too many truly bad people in the world already, and it's dangerous to label good people in that way.'

Sinitta acknowledged Adam's apology as 'a very grown up thing to do' and expressed hope that viewers would see both sides of the conflict. She also addressed the verbal abuse she received on social media, stating: 'You call me 'Grandma'... but would you speak to your grandmother that way? What about kindness? What about respect?'

Behind the Scenes

Earlier, Sinitta revealed that ITV bosses should have intervened sooner during Adam's meltdown, which lasted nearly an hour. She described the incident as 'very uncomfortable and disturbing', adding: 'I was saying to anyone who would listen: 'Why isn't anyone stopping this? Please make it stop. This is not right.'' She admitted voting for Adam to stay because she felt 'sorry for him', though it felt like 'rewarding a child for throwing a massive tantrum'.

Live Final Confrontation

The live final saw Jimmy accuse the show of 'editing out clips' in a furious rant. Hosts Ant and Dec struggled to maintain order as Jimmy claimed Adam was 'abusive, aggressive and intimidating' during their earlier row. Ant explained that the C-bomb was not aired because it was 'unbroadcastable', but Jimmy insisted the full footage should be shown. David Haye supported Jimmy, alleging that editing made Adam appear a victim, while Adam apologised and took responsibility for his actions.

Sinitta concluded her statement by affirming her support for Adam: 'The experience is finished now. We all survived the African jungle and the trials, and we have a new King Adam Thomas. I wish him well. I always have.' She also called for kindness and respect on social media, urging fans to see both sides of the story.
