Trump Rushed Off Stage After Gunshots at WH Dinner

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were both rushed off stage during the White House Correspondents' Dinner at the Washington Hilton after gunshots were heard inside the venue. The President was attending the event for the first time since 2011, where he was set to be honored and deliver a speech.

There did not immediately appear to be any injuries. The Secret Service and other law enforcement personnel swarmed the banquet hall as hundreds of guests ducked under tables. 'Out of the way, sir!' someone yelled, while others shouted for attendees to take cover. Cries of 'God bless America' echoed throughout the ballroom as the entire dais was led out of the room, leaving many other guests still inside.

Protesters had been spotted both outside and inside the Washington Hilton prior to the dinner, reportedly related to the Iran War and Israel's war on Hamas. CNN reported that gunshots were heard but a shooter has yet to be identified. This is a developing story.
