Candace Owens Delivers Scathing Rebuke to Trump's Truth Social Attack
Conservative commentator Candace Owens has launched a forceful counterattack against former President Donald Trump, following his controversial Truth Social post that questioned the intelligence of several former MAGA-aligned figures. The escalating public feud underscores deepening rifts within the conservative movement as key voices distance themselves from Trump's leadership.
"Only a Fool Would Hit Send"
During a recent episode of her podcast, Owens read Trump's complete Truth Social post aloud, which specifically targeted media personalities including herself, Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Alex Jones. Trump claimed these figures, who have recently broken with him over his handling of the Iran conflict, "think it is wonderful for Iran, the Number One State Sponsor of Terror, to have a Nuclear Weapon — Because they have one thing in common, Low IQs."
"They are stupid people. They know it. Their families know it, and everyone else knows it too," Trump added in his social media broadside.
Owens responded with blistering criticism: "Only a fool or someone under the express direction of one could have thought to hit send on what you published on Truth Social last night." Her remarks highlight the growing tension between Trump and former supporters who have cited disagreements over multiple issues, including the handling of Jeffrey Epstein-related documents and Trump's reversal of campaign promises regarding military engagements.
Accusations of Disloyalty and Moral Compromise
Owens proceeded to systematically dismantle Trump's post, arguing it represented a "stunning break from reality" and directly challenged his claims about her intelligence and that of other conservative voices he mentioned.
"It seems like you can't put together a coherent thought," Owens addressed the former president directly. "People will not fight beside, behind, or for someone who is fundamentally disloyal. If disloyalty and deceit are in your nature, then I highly suggest that you combine them with silence. You can be what you are, but I would advise you to do it quietly, Trump, because MAGA is no longer committed to you, and you know it."
The commentator accused Trump of prioritizing wealth and legacy over ethical considerations, suggesting his reputation would become permanently associated with controversial connections and decisions. "You belong to the Epstein class. That is your legacy," Owens declared pointedly.
Legacy of Controversial Associations
Owens elaborated that when people encounter Trump's name on buildings or hear about his financial and political dealings, they would inevitably associate them with serious moral transgressions and exploitation.
"When they see it, they will think about how many children had to die or be raped by men on islands so that you could stick the Trump name upon the building, and for clarity, Mr. President, that's not my fault," she stated.
"That's not Megyn Kelly's fault. That's not Tucker Carlson's fault. You made that trade. You chose money above respect, and what an absolute shame that you chose to do that toward the end of your life, because you can't take money and things and stuff with you when you go, just your soul, and you sold yours, for what? Another gilded ballroom?"
Alex Jones Responds with Religious Imagery
Meanwhile, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, whom Trump derisively labeled "Bankrupt Alex Jones" in reference to his promotion of false claims about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, also responded to the president's criticisms on Friday.
In a video recorded from his car, Jones expressed pity for Trump: "At the end of the day, I just feel sorry for him and pray that God touch his heart and soul and free him from the demonic influences that he's under. I mean, it's just that simple."
Jones added: "This is a nightmare. We know that the Democrats, the left, are absolutely terrible, but when Trump's calling for wiping out whole civilizations and acting like a super villain, I have to come out and say I don't support it. It's that simple."
The public exchanges reveal significant fractures within the MAGA movement, with former allies now openly challenging Trump's judgment and character while he responds with personal attacks questioning their intelligence and loyalty.
