Trump Unleashes Fury on Former MAGA Loyalists in Explosive Social Media Rant
Former President Donald Trump has launched a blistering attack on several high-profile former supporters, branding them as "nut jobs" and "troublemakers" in a lengthy and impassioned post on his Truth Social platform. The targets of his ire include media personalities Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Megyn Kelly, and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, all of whom have previously aligned themselves with the MAGA movement but have since criticised Trump, particularly over his handling of the Iran conflict.
Scathing Personal Insults and Accusations of Disloyalty
In his post, Trump did not hold back, accusing the quartet of having "low IQs" and being "stupid people." He claimed their families and everyone else are aware of their lack of intelligence. The former president pointed to their professional downfalls, noting they have been "thrown off television, lost their shows, and aren't even invited on TV because nobody cares about them." Trump asserted they now rely on "third-rate podcasts" for attention, but insisted their views are the opposite of MAGA, emphasising that his landslide presidential election victory proves the movement agrees with him, not them.
Trump's specific grievances against each individual were detailed and personal:- Tucker Carlson: Trump mocked Carlson for not finishing college and suggested he see a psychiatrist, calling him a "broken man" since his firing from Fox News.
- Megyn Kelly: He referenced her infamous debate question about "only Rosie O'Donnell," implying lingering resentment over their past clashes.
- Candace Owens: Trump criticised Owens for accusing the First Lady of France of being a man, stating the French First Lady is "far more beautiful" and hoping Owens loses money in a related lawsuit.
- Alex Jones: He labelled Jones "bankrupt" and condemned him for his "horrendous attack" on Sandy Hook families, calling his claims a hoax.
Broader Political Context and Accusations of Media Manipulation
Trump framed the conflict within the larger geopolitical landscape, accusing Carlson, Owens, Kelly, and Jones of supporting Iran, which he described as the "number one state sponsor of terror," in obtaining nuclear weapons. He contrasted this with MAGA's stance on "winning and strength" in preventing Iranian nuclear capabilities. The former president also alleged that mainstream media outlets like CNN and The New York Times are now "hailing" these former allies and giving them "positive press" for the first time, suggesting they are trying to latch onto MAGA for relevance.
Trump concluded by asserting his disinterest in their attempts to reconcile, stating he is too busy with "world and country affairs" to return their calls. He compared their behaviour to that of "Marjorie 'Traitor' Brown," a likely reference to political opponents, and reaffirmed his sole focus on "doing right for our country." The rant ended with a triumphant declaration that the United States is now the "hottest country anywhere in the world" under his vision, reiterating the core MAGA slogan of "Making America Great Again."
