American confectionery company Spring & Mulberry has initiated a voluntary product recall for one of its popular chocolate bars over fears it may be contaminated with salmonella.
Details of the Affected Product
The recall specifically concerns the firm's Mint Leaf Date Sweetened Chocolate Bar. The potentially contaminated items are easily identifiable by their distinctive teal-coloured packaging and carry the specific lot code 025255.
These bars were available for purchase from 15 September 2025 onwards, sold via the company's online store and through various retail partners across the United States.
Cause of the Recall and Consumer Advice
The decision to pull the product from shelves came after routine third-party laboratory testing discovered a trace of salmonella bacteria. Spring & Mulberry has moved swiftly to manage the situation despite the fact that, thankfully, no related illnesses have been reported to date.
The company is advising all customers who have purchased the affected chocolate bar to take immediate action:
