The family of a Scottish mother killed in a devastating taxi crash during an Ibiza holiday have paid an emotional tribute to their "beautiful soul" whose life was tragically cut short.
Louise Graham, a 45-year-old council worker from East Kilbride, was travelling with friends when the taxi she was in collided with another vehicle near the popular resort of San Antonio in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
A Life Cut Short
In a heart-wrenching statement released through the Foreign Office, Ms Graham's devastated family described her as "the most amazing, kind and beautiful soul" who was "loved by everyone who knew her."
The family continued: "Louise was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and aunt who lived for her family. She was the life and soul of every party and had the most incredible circle of friends."
Emergency Response
Emergency services rushed to the scene on the PM-803 road between San Antonio and San Rafael following the collision around 1:30 AM. Despite the efforts of paramedics, Ms Graham was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the taxi, a 47-year-old Spanish national, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Can Misses Hospital for emergency treatment. Authorities have confirmed an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
A Community in Mourning
Friends and colleagues have expressed their shock and grief following the tragedy. Ms Graham, who worked for South Lanarkshire Council, was described as a "bright light" in her community.
One friend shared: "Louise was the most caring person you could ever meet. She was on a well-deserved holiday with friends when this unimaginable tragedy occurred. We're all completely heartbroken."

A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office confirmed: "We are supporting the family of a British woman who died in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities."
The incident serves as a tragic reminder of the risks facing holidaymakers abroad, with the family now facing the heartbreaking task of repatriating their loved one's body back to Scotland.
