Cause of the Major Disruption
The operator confirmed the problems stem from a dual failure. An issue with the overhead power supply is compounded by a failed Le Shuttle train within the tunnel itself. This combination has brought services to a virtual standstill.
Eurostar's official website shared a direct update, strongly advising all customers to postpone their journeys. "We regret that trains that can run are subject to severe delays and last-minute cancellations," the statement read.
