Cross-Channel travel has been thrown into chaos after Eurostar issued a stark warning for passengers not to travel on Tuesday 30 December 2025. Severe disruption inside the Channel Tunnel has led to multiple cancellations and lengthy delays.

Cause of the Major Disruption

The operator confirmed the problems stem from a dual failure. An issue with the overhead power supply is compounded by a failed Le Shuttle train within the tunnel itself. This combination has brought services to a virtual standstill.

In response to the crisis, Eurostar has issued clear guidance. The firm has urged passengers not to come to London St Pancras or other stations unless they already hold a ticket for a confirmed, departing service.
