Merseyside Police have launched a major public appeal to trace a driver who failed to stop after a fatal collision that claimed the life of an 81-year-old woman.

Emergency services were called to Longmoor Lane in Fazakerley at approximately 4.15pm on Friday, December 5, following reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The incident occurred close to the junction with Third Avenue.
