Striking footage has been released by New South Wales Police showing the dramatic arrests of two men in connection with the alleged kidnapping and murder of 85-year-old grandfather Chris Baghsarian. The two suspects, both aged in their twenties, were taken into custody during early morning raids on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Police Raids in Sydney's Northwest
In a coordinated operation, strike force detectives, with support from the Raptor Squad, executed simultaneous search warrants at two properties located in the Sydney suburbs of Kenthurst and Castle Hill. The police action commenced at approximately 6:30 a.m., following an intensive eleven-day investigation into the disappearance of Mr. Baghsarian.
At the Kenthurst address, officers arrested a 29-year-old man. Simultaneously, at the Castle Hill property, a 24-year-old man was taken into custody. The released video footage depicts heavily armed tactical officers storming the residences to secure the arrests.
Discovery of the Victim's Body
The arrests occurred just hours after police tragically discovered the body of Chris Baghsarian near the Lynwood Golf and Country Club in Pitt Town, close to Windsor, on Tuesday. This discovery brought a sorrowful conclusion to the extensive search for the grandfather, who was allegedly kidnapped from his home in North Ryde on February 13.
Incident Details During Arrest
During the arrest proceedings, one of the handcuffed suspects experienced an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction as his jeans fell down while he was being escorted from the property by officers. The individual was also noted to be wearing a counterfeit designer T-shirt featuring the slogan 'original Gucci'.
