Spice Girl Mel B Issues Emotional 'Broken Heart' Message for Charity Art Show

As Valentine's Day approaches, Spice Girl Mel B has shared a poignant 'broken heart' message while contributing to a special art exhibition supporting the Chain of Hope charity. The event, titled Share Your Heart, is being held at London's Saatchi Gallery from February 11 to 15, 2026, to mark the charity's 30th anniversary.

Celebrity Artworks Auctioned for Life-Saving Cause

The exhibition features 60 heart-themed artworks created by a mix of top artists and celebrities, all of which will be auctioned to raise funds for Chain of Hope. Mel B expressed her pride in participating, stating, "I was so proud to be part of this. The charity does amazing work, saving lives of children desperately in need of surgery." She added, "It's about sharing hearts - and pieces of our hearts - with others. However broken, however damaged, we should all have the opportunity to mend. That was the message I wanted to send with my heart. I really hope it can help save lives."

Chain of Hope's Global Impact on Children's Health

Founded by Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub, Chain of Hope raises awareness and funds for children born with congenital heart disease across 43 countries. The charity has facilitated 5,000 life-saving cardiac procedures on five continents, operating through specialist paediatric cardiac centres in nations including Egypt, Uganda, Ethiopia, Mozambique, and Jamaica. February is designated as the charity's annual 'Heart Month,' making this exhibition particularly timely.

Star-Studded Line-Up of Contributors

The Share Your Heart exhibition boasts an impressive array of celebrity participants, including:

  • TV presenter Alison Hammond, who said, "What better way to share my love, than to share my heart with you. The work that Chain of Hope does is incredible."

  • TV personality Vicky Pattison, who remarked, "I've really loved getting artistic for such a good cause. A gift that literally gives back by mending broken hearts."
  • Comedian Tom Allen, who praised the initiative, saying, "How wonderful it is that we can, hopefully, mend some broken hearts this Valentine's Day in a literal sense."

Other notable contributors include Gillian Anderson, Olivia Colman, John Lithgow, Donny Osmond, Shaggy, and EastEnders actor Nitin Gantra. They have collaborated with artists such as Youssef Nabil, Gordon Cheung, and Philip Colbert to create unique pieces for the auction.

Artistic Expressions of Compassion and Connection
