Model and television presenter Abbey Clancy has playfully accused a top tennis player of 'flirting' with her husband, former England footballer Peter Crouch, during a family holiday in the Middle East.
Podcast Revelation from the UAE Trip
The light-hearted allegation surfaced during a recent episode of the couple's popular podcast, The Therapy Crouch. The conversation centred on a December 2025 trip to the United Arab Emirates, where Peter attended the exclusive World Sports Summit at Dubai's Madinat Jumeirah resort.
While there, Peter and the couple's daughter, Sophia, went to a special 'Battle of the Sexes' exhibition tennis match. The match featured Belarusian world number one Aryna Sabalenka and the controversial Australian player Nick Kyrgios.
"I was so jealous he went there because I wanted to go as well," Abbey admitted on the podcast, explaining she stayed behind as tennis matches are "too long" for their younger children.
The 'Flirty' Exchange with a Tennis Icon
Peter recounted how Sophia got to meet her tennis idol, Sabalenka, on court. Seizing the moment for some marital ribbing, Abbey then interjected with a mock-accusatory tone.
"She was flirting with you, wasn't she?" Abbey quipped. Peter, playing along, initially replied, "Yeah." Abbey then impersonated Sabalenka in a flirtatious voice, suggesting the athlete had said, "Ooh, I love looking up to a man's first time."
Peter was quick to clarify the reality of the situation, insisting the champion player "wasn't flirting at all." He explained that Sabalenka had actually simply remarked that it was "nice to look up to someone," a comment likely referencing his notable 6ft 7in height.
Birthday Celebrations and Fan Support
In other news discussed around the same time, Abbey was flooded with supportive messages after celebrating her milestone 40th birthday. The mother-of-four thanked Peter for arranging a surprise trip to Paris, sharing photos from the getaway on social media.
Her post attracted warm wishes from famous friends, including Carol Vorderman, Denise van Outen, Olivia Attwood, and Holly Willoughby. Willoughby's tribute, captioned "A couples of 10s," referenced Abbey's birthday on January 10 and her own on February 10.
Listeners can next catch Peter and Abbey on BBC One's Michael McIntyre's Big Show on Saturday, January 17, from 6.45pm to 7.45pm.
