In a potential turning point for one of showbiz's most publicised family rifts, Brooklyn Beckham is reportedly considering extending an olive branch to his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. After more than a year of estrangement and public fallout, insiders suggest the eldest Beckham son may be seeking a private reconciliation.
A Year of Turmoil and Public Snubs
The feud, which has captivated fans and media throughout 2025, saw Brooklyn become increasingly distant from his famous family. He notably missed his father David's 50th birthday celebrations and did not attend his mother Victoria's birthday or her Paris fashion show. The rift deepened when he unfollowed his entire family on social media.
Further distancing himself, Brooklyn did not invite his parents or siblings to his vow renewal with wife Nicola Peltz in 2025, and for the first time, he spent Christmas away from the Beckham family, opting to celebrate solely with Nicola. The situation escalated dramatically when his younger brother, Cruz Beckham, broke the family's silence on social media in January 2026, clarifying that Brooklyn had blocked them all, contradicting rumours that David and Victoria had unfollowed him first.
Legal Letters and a Plea for Privacy
The conflict took an even more serious turn when Brooklyn reportedly sent his parents a legal notice. The notice instructed David and Victoria to only contact him through his lawyers and asked them not to tag him on social media. This action was allegedly prompted after Victoria liked one of his cooking posts online, which was deemed a breach of the requested privacy.
A source explained the move, stating: "He issued them with a letter at the end of last summer, asking for any correspondence to go via lawyers only, and wanted to try and make amends privately, not publicly. He felt his parents continued to ignore his wishes and kept mentioning him online instead of reaching out privately."
Glimmers of Hope for a Reconciliation
Despite the profound estrangement, a new report suggests a possible thaw. A source close to the family told the Mail on Sunday that while Brooklyn is devoted to making his wife Nicola happy, he may be reconsidering the complete cut-off. "I can’t imagine a world where Brooklyn wouldn’t want to see his parents again," the insider claimed.
They added: "It is clear that Brooklyn is very keen to please Nicola, but maybe, just maybe, he will at some point want to get back in touch with his parents. Nothing would make them happier." This potential shift indicates that behind the closed doors of the legal battle and social media blocks, the 26-year-old aspiring chef might be yearning for a family truce.
The fallout has also affected other relationships; Brooklyn is said to no longer be in contact with the Ramsay family, with whom he grew up, and he skipped Holly Ramsay's wedding at the end of 2025 despite an invitation. However, he remains close to both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
