Karley Scott Collins Slams 'Ridiculous' Rumours of Cohabiting with Mentor Keith Urban
Collins Denies Rumours of Living with Keith Urban

Country music starlet Karley Scott Collins has taken to social media to forcefully deny what she calls "absolutely ridiculous" rumours suggesting she is living with her newly-divorced mentor, the Grammy-winning singer Keith Urban.

A Firm Denial on Social Media

On Sunday, the 26-year-old former child star shared a screengrab of an article making the claim to her Instagram Stories. She captioned the post with a cry-laughing emoji and a clear rebuttal, writing: "Y'all, this is absolutely RIDICULOUS and untrue." The Daily Mail has reportedly contacted Urban's representative for comment on the speculation.

The rumours appear to stem from the pair's close professional relationship and public displays of friendship. Collins, who opened for Urban's 2025 High and Alive World Tour, collaborated with the 58-year-old artist on her 2024 duet, 'Write One'. The age gap between the two singers is 32 years.

A Supportive Mentor and a Major Career Break

Their camaraderie has been well-documented online. As recently as January 3, Collins, known for her song 'Flight Risk', shared a photograph of herself embracing the Kiwi-born Australian onstage. She used the post to thank "all the incredible artists who took the boys and I on the road with you."

Furthermore, when Urban celebrated his birthday on October 26, Collins posted another affectionate tribute, gushing about his kindness and stating she felt "so lucky to call you a friend." It was also Urban, a producer and star on 'The Road', who personally gave the Florida-born singer the call to inform her she would be making her official Grand Ole Opry debut in 2024.

Urban's New Chapter Post-Divorce

The rumours emerge amidst a significant personal transition for Keith Urban. His divorce from actress Nicole Kidman was finalised on January 6, ending their 19-year marriage. On January 11, Urban gave his first interview since the split on Dann Huff's podcast.

"I'm in a different part of the journey," the 'Somebody Like You' singer explained. He revealed his current creative focus is on "poetry", stating: "So there's a lot of poetry in my input right now. Lots. Yeah, poetry would be in my music right now. Not rhyming poetry, but more philosophical poetry that's really profound to me."

Urban also discussed simplifying his life, focusing on how he "introduces" himself to each new day. The divorce settlement outlines that the 'Cop Car' crooner will spend 59 days of 2026 with their two daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15. Kidman, 58, is considered the 'primary residential parent' and will have custody for 306 days.

The former couple, who had been living apart "since early summer", were last pictured together publicly at a FIFA Club World Cup match on June 20 near their former marital home in Nashville, Tennessee.

Karley Scott Collins first found fame portraying Oprah Pearl in the CBS sitcom 'The Class' during the 2006-2007 season. She is next scheduled to perform at the Windy City Smokeout in Chicago, IL, on July 9. Keith Urban's next performance is set for March 2 at the Nassau Cruise Port Amphitheater in the Bahamas as part of the Top Shelf Country Cruise.
