Former Disney Channel star Hilary Duff has arrived in the UK capital, ready to perform her first live concert in a decade, even as a very public disagreement with fellow actress Ashley Tisdale continues to unfold.
Nostalgic Comeback Kicks Off in London
The 38-year-old singer and actress landed at Heathrow Airport on Saturday evening, looking radiant as she prepared for her sold-out show. Hilary wrapped up against the chilly January weather in a huge longline black coat, which she paired with classic black and white Adidas trainers.
Her performance at the O2 Shepherd Bush Empire on Sunday marks the beginning of a four-date concert series. Following the London gig, she will head to Toronto, New York City, and Los Angeles. This tour is a key part of her major music comeback, which is also being supported by her new single, 'Mature'.
Album Launch and Behind-the-Scenes Projects
Hilary's return to the spotlight is multifaceted. She recently announced that her sixth studio album, titled 'luck ... or something', will be released on 20 February 2026. To promote the album in November, she shared a sultry photo on Instagram, wearing black thigh-high stockings, which she said represented the "love, late night anxiety and a little chaos" that went into its creation.
Fans can also look forward to a 'mature edition' vinyl featuring re-recorded versions of her classic tracks 'Wake Up' and 'So Yesterday'. Beyond the album, Hilary is preparing for a Las Vegas residency and working on a documentary series about her musical return with acclaimed concert film director Sam Wrench.
The 'Toxic Mom Group' Fallout with Ashley Tisdale
Amid the professional excitement, a personal drama has spilled into public view. Hilary's fellow Disney alum, Ashley Tisdale, recently penned a candid article for The Cut titled 'Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group.'
While not naming individuals, Ashley described feeling "frozen out" by the group during her postpartum period, comparing the experience to being back in high school. The group, reportedly created by Hilary, included stars like Mandy Moore and was rumoured to involve Meghan Trainor. Notably, Ashley unfollowed both Hilary and Mandy on Instagram around the time the article was published.
Hilary's husband, Matthew Koma, subsequently entered the fray in her defence. On Instagram, he shared a photoshopped image mocking a "self obsessed and tone deaf" person, a clear reference to Tisdale's claims.
As Hilary Duff takes to the stage in London for a night of nostalgia, the off-stage narrative of friendship, motherhood, and celebrity conflict ensures her comeback is about more than just music.
