Reality television star Jordan Brook has opened up about enduring a 'really scary time' as he battles a serious brain condition in hospital. The Only Way Is Essex personality, aged 31, shared that he is currently awaiting critical test results for a clear diagnosis, describing the situation as a 'never ending hell'.
Hospital Admission and Diagnosis
Jordan Brook disclosed on Sunday evening that he was admitted to hospital over the weekend. In a heartfelt post on his Instagram Stories, he provided a sobering update from his hospital bed. 'Unfortunately this is still the view for me,' he wrote alongside a snapshot. 'This seems to be a never ending hell at moment.'
The star confirmed he has 'inflammation and swelling of the brain', though further details are pending procedural results. 'Once we get them more will be cleared up– what we do know is I have confirmed inflammation and swelling of the brain,' he explained. Brook added that returning home feels a 'really long way off', expressing hope to 'rest up and be fighting fit and back home with my girl and bump, soon'.
Sophie Kasaei's Supportive Role
His pregnant girlfriend, Sophie Kasaei, also addressed fans via Instagram on Saturday, revealing it is 'too risky' for her to join him at his bedside due to her pregnancy. Sophie, who is expecting their first child, wrote: 'Jordan is still in the hospital and we are still waiting for answers whilst he is getting treatment and medication.'
She elaborated on the challenges, noting: 'If people are trying to contact him he's unable to use his phone at the moment as he's in pain and is mostly sleeping.' Sophie emphasised that his family are present with him, 'doing a great job as it's too risky for me and baby'. She concluded with optimism, stating: 'He will be there for the next few days and hopefully be on the mend and back home to me and bump very soon.'
Emotional Toll and Public Response
Jordan Brook expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, apologising for not responding to messages due to extreme weakness. 'Thank you for everyone's continued messages of love and support I'm sorry I havnt got back to everyone I have been extremely weak,' he shared. He also extended apologies to work clients, vowing: 'I will be back as soon as I can.'
Sophie had previously described their ordeal on Friday, stating they have been 'living a nightmare'. This health scare follows a period of joy for the couple, who announced in December they are expecting their first child after a challenging two-year fertility journey.
Recent Celebrations and Future Hopes
The reality stars, who have been together since 2022, shared their pregnancy news through a sweet social media video. It featured them hanging a bauble on their Christmas tree reading: 'Merry Christmas Mummy and Daddy. See you in 2026.' The video nostalgically recalled them wrapping a baby blanket last year, hoping 2025 would be their year.
In January, the couple hosted a star-studded gender reveal at Three Rivers Golf & Country Club in Cold Norton, attended by reality TV pals including James Argent, Lauren Goodger, and Charlotte Dawson. They joyfully revealed they are expecting a baby boy, appearing happier than ever during the celebration.
As Jordan Brook continues his hospital stay, fans and well-wishers are sending messages of love and support, hoping for a swift recovery so he can reunite with Sophie and their upcoming arrival.
