Married At First Sight Australia star Alissa Fay has shared details about her new romance following her split from on-screen husband David Momoh. The 33-year-old nurse and social media manager, who appeared on the current season of the wildly popular reality show airing on E4 in the UK, has confirmed she is now dating Nathan Ryles, a familiar face from the Australian version of Ninja Warrior.
Alissa's Journey on MAFS
Alissa was matched with David Momoh at the start of the series and initially became a fan favorite among viewers. Many believed the pair were one of the strongest couples on the show. During a home visit, Alissa confessed she was "falling in love" with David and even expressed willingness to relocate to Sydney to be with him. However, as the season progressed, their relationship began to unravel. Without revealing the outcome of the Final Vows, it is now known that the couple did not end up together.
New Relationship with Nathan Ryles
Alissa has since moved on and is now dating Nathan Ryles, who has gained recognition in Australia after competing on Ninja Warrior Australia five times. His Instagram profile describes him as a gym owner, personal trainer, and fitness festival organizer, as well as a father to a four-year-old from a previous relationship. Social media shows numerous photos and videos of the pair training together and attending events.
Speaking to Australian magazine New Idea, Alissa gushed about her new relationship: "Our connection is something I've never experienced before. He was unexpected; we didn't plan for this to happen, you know, it just happened so naturally. I believe that he is my person." She added: "I thought that I knew what love was, and I thought that I had felt love before, but this is a whole other feeling. I believe he's my soulmate, like he is my person, and I have found my person; he makes me so happy."
Nathan revealed how they met: "I was on a wine tour for my gym, and randomly, one of Alissa's friends came on there. She just mentioned that Alissa was on MAFS. And I was like, 'Oh, I swear that she was in a previous relationship', and she just let me know that yeah, that she wasn't in her relationship anymore, and she was on MAFS. Her friend was like, '[If her relationship] on the show doesn't work out, you guys would be such a great couple.' So, yeah, she did the best wingman thing and hooked us up."
The couple has already exchanged the all-important three words during a romantic getaway, with Nathan being the first to declare his feelings.
David's Reaction
As for David, he has claimed there has been no contact between them beyond what was required for filming. He harbors no ill will, stating: "I have zero bad blood. I'm not gonna hold a grudge against Alissa. I'm happy for her. I hope she finds a guy who loves her and cares for her like she deserves to be treated. I genuinely have no bad blood."
Married At First Sight Australia continues tonight at 7.30pm on E4 and streaming on Channel 4.
