Pixie Lott's Secret Motherhood Tool: Music and Support

Pixie Lott Opens Up About Motherhood and Music Career Balance

In an exclusive interview, singer Pixie Lott has candidly shared how she manages the demanding dual roles of being a mother to two young children and maintaining a successful music career. The 35-year-old artist, who first signed a record deal at just 15, says her life has been transformed for the better since welcoming her sons.

The Juggling Act of Parenting and Performing

Pixie Lott admits that balancing her professional commitments with motherhood is a constant juggle, but one she embraces wholeheartedly. She brings her children, two-year-old Bertie and her six-month-old son, whose name remains private, with her wherever she goes for shows and projects. "It's literally my life now, and I love it," she revealed, emphasizing that this arrangement has changed things massively but for the better.

She feels incredibly fortunate to have the support of her parents, which enables her to take her children on the road. "I love being with them every day and I feel really lucky that I've got my mum and dad's support so that I can do that and they can come with me and help, and we just go on the road," Pixie explained. Touring with a young family is described as "always crazy" but adds to the fun, with unpredictable moments like nap times and nappy changes becoming part of the adventure.

Music as a Bonding Tool in Motherhood

Pixie Lott highlights music as the one thing she relies on most as a mother. She incorporates singing, dancing, and rhythm into her daily parenting routine, using it as a tool for bonding and comfort. "It's something that I rely on throughout daily life," she confessed. "I guess my mothering style would be to incorporate music, so singing, dancing, rhythm, you can easily make drum beats out of anything, can't you?"

She shared that music has become a natural response in challenging situations, such as when her children have minor accidents. "And even if he accidentally has a bump on his head or falls over, when I'm cuddling him, I will always start singing. It's just been a tool for me that has just helped loads in those situations. So I'm always singing, we're always dancing," Pixie said.

Family Involvement and New Projects

Bertie, her older son, has grown accustomed to the showbiz lifestyle, enjoying being part of performances backstage. Pixie noted that this has become second nature for their family. She is also involved in a campaign with Water Wipes, promoting "The Wipe Up Dance," a clean-up anthem designed to reduce nappy-change stress. This initiative feels normal for their music-filled daily life, where singing and dancing in the kitchen are regular occurrences.

Looking ahead, Pixie Lott is preparing to release new music, including the tune "Good Wife." After working on her upcoming album in Nashville, she revealed that while it may not be strictly Country, it will focus on storytelling. "I do love Country music," she said, "but this is more, I guess, inspired, not specifically Country. I think it's more in the storytelling aspect of writing."

Overall, Pixie Lott expresses gratitude for being able to enjoy the best of both worlds, crediting music and family support as key elements in her joyful motherhood journey.
