Former Australian Idol contestant Rob Mills has left his social media followers stunned after participating in an online trend by sharing a remarkably revealing photo from his past.
A Racy Throwback Challenge
The 43-year-old performer, who first found fame on the singing competition in 2003, recently took part in a popular social media challenge. The trend encourages users to post a picture of themselves from 2016 to mark a full decade having passed.
Mills unearthed a photograph from that year in which he appeared completely nude. In the image, the singer and actor used a strategically positioned leg to preserve his modesty while casting a smouldering look towards the camera.
"Meanwhile, this was me in 2016," he humorously captioned the post, sharing the cheeky snapshot with his audience.
From Idol to Stage Star
Rob Mills has successfully transitioned from his reality TV beginnings to establish a solid career in musical theatre. Since his time on Australian Idol, he has secured leading roles in several major productions.
His theatrical credits now include prominent parts in:
- Wicked
- Grease
- Hairspray
- Ghost: The Musical
- Jesus Christ Superstar
Personal Life and Upcoming Wedding
On the personal front, Mills is preparing to marry former The Project panellist Georgie Tunny, 34. The couple got engaged on New Year's Eve in 2022 after three years of dating.
He announced their engagement on Instagram, writing: "Best road trip of my life. I asked this girl to be my wife… Happy New Year everyone." Mills also reflected on the advice a friend gave him about marriage, simply stating: "Give."
Tunny shared the same joyful news on her own social media, captioning her post: "Honestly, gtfo 2021... although, you did finish with a bang."
The pair have navigated a long-distance relationship during 2024, which Tunny described as involving "missed calls, countless FaceTimes, hilarious dates, and a simmering loneliness." Despite the challenges, she expressed pride in their commitment, stating they were "nearly there."
While attending Melbourne's Derby Day previously, Mills told Daily Mail Australia that "things are going really well" with his fiancée, signalling a strong partnership as they approach their wedding day.
