Roger Waters Refuses Apology to Osbourne Family in Fresh Outburst
Roger Waters refuses to apologise to Osbourne family

Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters has sparked fresh controversy by bluntly refusing to apologise to the Osbourne family for his derogatory comments about the late rock legend Ozzy Osbourne.

The Original Outburst and a New Confrontation

Following Ozzy Osbourne's death at age 76 last summer, Waters provoked outrage by stating he "couldn't give a f*** about Ozzy" and criticising the Black Sabbath icon's television persona. In a new interview with Piers Morgan, the musician was directly challenged on whether he would apologise for those remarks.

While initially suggesting he would apologise if he caused offence, Waters quickly pivoted to a new attack. "Not that I have any time for Sharon. She's a raging Zionist," he declared, referencing Ozzy's wife and manager. When Morgan pressed for a clear answer on apologising to the family, Waters responded bluntly: "Not really."

Mockery and a Family's Fury

During the heated exchange, Waters also mocked Ozzy Osbourne's infamous stage antics, including biting the head off a bat, and stated he does not have to like every rock band. He further mistakenly called Sharon 'Karen', a slip some observers believed was intentional.

The Osbourne family's fury at Waters' initial comments was made public last year by Ozzy's youngest son, Jack. On his Instagram Stories, Jack Osbourne raged: "Hey @rogerwaters f**k you... My father always thought you were a c***t – thanks for proving him right." He later added the hashtag #f**krogerwaters.

A Son's Tribute and Lasting Rift

In a separate, emotional tribute to his father, Jack Osbourne shared a poignant quote from Hunter S. Thompson to describe Ozzy's life philosophy, writing: "'But rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a ride!'' That was my dad."

Despite the ongoing public feud, Roger Waters indicated he would be willing to speak to Jack Osbourne if he wished. However, his latest comments and steadfast refusal to offer a sincere apology ensure the bitter rift between the Waters and the Osbourne family remains firmly in place.
