Rosamund Pike's Rare Outing With Son Atom At NBA London Game 2026
Rosamund Pike Attends NBA London Game With Son Atom

Oscar-nominated actress Rosamund Pike was spotted enjoying a special mother-son day out at a major sporting event in the capital this weekend.

A Courtside Appearance For Mother And Son

The London-born star, 46, attended the NBA London Game 2026 with her youngest child, Atom, 11. The pair watched from VIP seats as the Memphis Grizzlies took on the Orlando Magic at the iconic O2 Arena on Sunday.

Pike, who also shares an elder son, Solo, 14, with her long-term partner Robie Uniacke, 65, appeared in wonderfully high spirits throughout the outing. She cut a chic figure in a classic black trench coat, cinched at the waist with a belt, and accessorised with sunglasses and a cream leather handbag.

Meanwhile, her son Atom looked the part in a colourful Adidas track top, sitting courtside beside his famous mother, who was seen beaming with joy.

A Star-Studded VIP Section

The actress and her son were in illustrious company in the exclusive stands. Fellow attendees included supermodel Leomie Anderson, 32, I'm A Celebrity star and rapper Aitch, 26, and acclaimed actress Naomi Ackie, 34.

Ackie modelled an NBA jacket by luxury brand Balenciaga, while Anderson showcased her style in a crop top and tight trousers. The halftime entertainment was provided by British band FLO, featuring members Asha Banks and Mia Jenkins. American singer Vanessa Williams performed the US national anthem before the game commenced.

NBA Expansion And UK Fan Accessibility

The high-profile game comes amid ongoing discussions about the potential expansion of the NBA into Europe, with a league possibly starting as early as 2027. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has been vocal about his vision for an 'NBA Europe' and has met with UK political figures, including Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, to discuss investment in British grassroots basketball.

However, the event highlighted concerns about accessibility for ordinary fans. Tickets for the showpiece event were reported to range from £200 to as high as £1,000, leading to some complaints about being priced out. Other notable faces in the crowd included football stars Thierry Henry, Virgil van Dijk, Marcelo, and Declan Rice.

Lenz Balan, CEO of the London Lions basketball team, acknowledged the cost but suggested it could be the price for a 'premium product'. He expressed excitement about the sport's growing popularity in the UK, stating there has never been a more thrilling time to be involved in British basketball.

The actress's rare public appearance with her son follows speculation about her personal life. Late last year, Pike appeared to refer to Uniacke, her partner of 16 years, as her 'husband', sparking rumours of a secret marriage. She was also seen wearing a silver band on her ring finger during Paris Fashion Week and at a film premiere in New York.
