Ross Kemp was spotted heading to Scotland for the second season of Celebrity Traitors, flashing a thumbs up as he arrived ahead of filming. The 61-year-old EastEnders icon is part of a star-studded lineup that includes Richard E. Grant, Michael Sheen, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Rob Beckett.
Cast Arrives in Scottish Highlands
Hours after the cast was revealed, celebrities were seen making their way to the Scottish Highlands. Jerry Hall, Bella Ramsey, Amol Rajan, and Saltburn actor Richard were photographed on their journey. Kemp appeared thrilled to join them, giving a thumbs up to cameras before getting into a waiting car. Fellow soap legend Julie Hesmondhalgh was also spotted jetting to the area.
Why Ross Kemp Joined the Show
An insider told the Sun that Kemp loves Traitors and considers it a programme on another level. He is drawn to the mix of psychological intrigue and physical trials, both of which suit him perfectly. Additionally, he hopes to appeal to younger viewers who may be less familiar with his career. The source added: 'He knows The Celebrity Traitors won't just be watched by people familiar with his work, but by younger viewers, opening him up to a whole new audience. He's also a very BBC name and this is another big BBC show.'
Full Lineup and Format
The lineup also includes Joanne McNally, James Acaster, Joe Lycett, social media content creator King Kenny, Love Island presenter Maya Jama, Romesh Ranganathan, Industry actress Myha'la, Professor Hannah Fry, Sharon Rooney, James Blunt, and Sebastian Croft. The 21 celebrities will be sorted into 'faithfuls' and 'traitors' as they compete for a charity cash prize. Faithfuls must identify the traitors, who secretly eliminate players each night.
Anticipation for Season Two
Following the success of the first season, which saw around 15 million viewers watch Alan Carr win as a Traitor, fans have eagerly awaited news of a second series. Predictions suggest Michael, Richard, and Miranda could be this year's 'big dogs.' The air date has not been announced, but the show is expected to return in autumn.
