The 49-year-old Legally Blonde actress shared a candid behind-the-scenes clip to her Instagram on Sunday, which quickly charmed her 30.4 million followers.

In the now-viral reel, Reese Witherspoon is seen sitting in a cosy living room, pretending to confide in someone off-camera. 'You're not recording, right?' she asks with mock seriousness before launching into her tongue-in-cheek critique. 'Jen Garner is just so hard to work with,' she jokes.
The video then cuts to 53-year-old Jennifer Garner, the star of 13 Going On 30 and Alias, lounging on her own sofa as she attempts to FaceTime her friend. Witherspoon continues her playful monologue, highlighting the contrast between Garner's wholesome public image and her alleged hidden depths.
'People think of her as this nice lady from West Virginia... she takes care of kids that are underserved, she's got three children - she makes her own pop tarts,' Witherspoon listed. 'But like, she's got a dark side. I don't know what it is, but she has it.'
The Banter Behind the Scenes
The humorous clip took another turn when an off-camera voice chimed in to add, 'And she's late.' Witherspoon feigned frustration, explaining that Garner was 'two minutes late for this phone call' and that her own time seemingly didn't matter.
The video continued to cut back to Garner waiting patiently, with the actress quipping, 'Boss lady never misses a call.' The joke was ultimately on Witherspoon, however, when she was informed that Garner had already tried to call her twice. 'Oh! She tried me twice!' Witherspoon exclaimed with a laugh before finally answering the call.

A Friendship Forged in Hollywood
This lighthearted exchange is the latest in a long series of public displays of friendship between the two A-list stars. Earlier this month, they teamed up to promote the novel The First Time I Saw Him by Laura Dave for Witherspoon's book club, which she launched in 2017.
Their bond extends far beyond social media banter. The pair have collaborated professionally as executive producers on the Apple TV+ thriller series The Last Thing He Told Me, in which Garner also stars. The show's second season is scheduled to premiere on 20 February.
