Christian Burrows, who rose to fame on the 2016 series of The X Factor, has become a father for the first time. The singer shared an adorable hospital snap of his newborn baby daughter with fans on social media.
Sweet Hospital Snap
The budding singer, who made it to the final six boys in Nicole Scherzinger's camp a decade ago, proudly announced the birth of his daughter with a selection of cute photographs. Alongside the images, he revealed her name in a heartfelt caption.
In the first photo, the new dad was holding her car seat as they left the hospital, followed by a picture of the little one lying down, and a beautiful upload of his partner, Lauren, holding their daughter.
Heartfelt Announcement
Christian unveiled the little girl's name in the adorable caption, writing: "Dear, Baby Girl. Welcome to this world, Mimi Vivia Burrows. The moment you graced us, fresh from heaven, the world gained another angel. It's impossible to explain how love, fear, excitement and every single emotion possible can hit you all at once, but somehow they did."
He went on to detail his recent difficult times, penning: "Nobody's life is simple, nobody's life is without pain and suffering. Recently, I have suffered in ways I will never be able to protect you from and that scares the living hell out of me. The biggest pain you will carry through life is that you will never get to feel the warm, gentle touch from your Nana Nic."
Referencing the death of his mother, Christian said it was his "biggest failure" that his daughter and late mother "will never share the same presence."
Touching Tribute
In a touching nod to his newborn daughter, he dubbed her his "greatest achievement in life," writing: "I guess as one angel leaves, another is born." The former X Factor star went on to say how Mimi has already stolen his heart and showered his life with unconditional love.
In a promise to the baby girl, he wrote: "I promise to protect, to cherish and to love you as long as I breathe and forever after. I am so proud to be your dad and I cannot wait for endless memories, adventures and days spent annoying mummy together." He concluded by saying he couldn't "wait to watch you grow into a remarkable woman," but for now he's happy to "hold you close."
Praise for Partner
In praise to his partner, Christian explained he was finding it "difficult to place into words" how proud he was of her for growing "the most incredible bundle of joy," adding: "Your mum emits a special kind of light. A rare kind. The kind so pure, so full of energy that it effortlessly heals and makes the world a happier place."
Fan Support
Fans flocked to the comments to show support, with one person writing: "Congratulations! Nana Nic will shine through in your baby girl, her presence will be felt along the journey, I'm sure." Another said: "Congrats my guy. Blessings to this next chapter of life for you," while Lauren replied: "My whole worlds," followed by a blue and pink heart.
Background
Bolton native Christian came to fame on The X Factor when he was just 19 years old, bringing the nation to tears with a self-penned song in a poignant tribute to his late younger brother, Nathan. The youngster admitted he had only ever played the song 'Two Again' to his parents before, with all four judges being moved to tears as they praised him. Simon Cowell said at the time: "It was very brave to share that song with us, because it is so personal." Christian ultimately made it to the Six Chair Challenge stage at the Judges' House before being eliminated from the competition by Pussycat Doll singer Nicole.
