Ant & Dec Console Tearful Contestant on ITV's Limitless Win Christmas Special
Ant & Dec step in as Limitless Win player breaks down

Television hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were compelled to offer emotional support to a contestant who broke down in tears during the festive edition of ITV's Limitless Win.

An Emotional Start to the Game

The prime-time quiz show, which features a theoretically infinite cash ladder, returned for a Christmas special on Saturday, December 27, 2025. The episode took a heartfelt turn before the game even began for audience member Nigel Seaman, aged 52.

Former soldier Nigel, who founded the veteran-focused coffee business Combat2Coffee to aid ex-service personnel with mental health and PTSD, was unexpectedly selected to play. His emotions overwhelmed him when a video montage played, featuring messages of praise from his friends and family.

Hosts Rally with Tissues and Support

Watching Nigel become tearful in the studio, Ant and Dec immediately stepped in. "Do you want to play Limitless Win?" they asked him. Nigel replied, "When I stop crying I will!"

As Nigel composed himself to walk on stage, Dec called for "some tissues", with Ant noting they needed to "wipe away the tears from his eyes". Upon meeting him on set, Ant gently checked, "Have you stopped crying?" to which Nigel joked, "I have but don't set me off again."

A Winning Result for a Worthy Cause

With assistance from special guest Jamie Redknapp, Nigel tackled the limitless money ladder. His efforts proved highly successful, culminating in a substantial win of £30,000.

Expressing his gratitude after the game, Nigel stated he was "humbled and elated". He explained the significant impact the prize money would have: "I put my savings into Combat2Coffee. It'll help my kids a little bit as well." The poignant episode underscored the human stories behind the game show's high-stakes format.
