Popular Gogglebox stars Sue and Steve Sheehan have delighted their followers by sharing a rare family photo to celebrate a significant personal milestone.
A Special Birthday Celebration
The married couple, who have been fan favourites on the Channel 4 show since 2019, took to Instagram on Saturday, December 27, to mark their youngest daughter Kate's 40th birthday. They posted a series of photographs, including both nostalgic throwback images and pictures from the recent celebrations.
"Our 2nd born 40th birthday today. Happy Birthday my darling, celebrations later," read the affectionate caption accompanying the post. Sue later shared a separate image of a specially made retro birthday cake and a vintage holiday photo of Kate.
Family Dinner at Kent Restaurant
The festivities continued into the start of the new week. On Monday, December 29, the pair posted further snaps from a celebratory family dinner held at the Boys Hall restaurant in Kent.
"A good time was had by all @boys.hall sharing a special birthday with the family," they wrote, giving fans another glimpse into the private family occasion.
Heartwarming Fan Reactions
The rare peek into the Sheehans' family life prompted an outpouring of warm wishes from their dedicated followers in the comments section. One fan wrote, "Beautiful young woman, happy happy birthday. Best wishes to your gorgeous daughter."
Another added, "Happy birthday to your lovely girl," while a third simply stated, "What a beautiful girl happy birthday." The sentiment was widely echoed, with other comments praising their "stunning" daughter and noting how proud the couple must be.
Sue and Steve, who have been married for nearly 47 years, are semi-retired and retired respectively. They live in South London and are also parents to another daughter, Leah, and are grandparents to a grandson named Roman.
The family update comes after Sue recently revealed to viewers that she had been diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, a condition causing temporary facial muscle weakness. After a break from the show, she explained she had to relearn certain things like speaking and chewing. Steve, in his trademark supportive and humorous style, joked about offering to chew her food for her, to which Sue quipped that her sharp tongue remained unaffected.
