My Reno Rules Wraps Filming After Months of Production Turmoil
My Reno Rules completes filming after production chaos

Billionaire entrepreneur Adrian Portelli has taken to social media to declare that filming for Channel Seven's highly-anticipated renovation programme My Reno Rules has officially concluded, marking the end of a production period plagued by significant difficulties.

Social Media Declaration Sparks Interest

Portelli, who serves as a sponsor for the new series, shared an Instagram photograph depicting himself standing beside one of his luxury sports vehicles, parked on a suburban street similar to those featured in the programme. The businessman, previously known for his purchases on The Block, was dressed casually in a t-shirt, shorts, and work boots.

His caption contained a clear challenge to Channel Nine's established renovation hit, stating: 'We're not here to take part. We're here to take over.' He continued with evident enthusiasm, 'Filming for My Reno Rules has officially been completed! I cannot wait until this airs on Channel Seven.'

Behind-the-Scenes Turmoil Revealed

This announcement follows revelations from insiders to Daily Mail Australia that chaos had surrounded the production for months. The show, created by MasterChef producers Endemol Shine, is positioned as a direct competitor to The Block and will feature four teams of renovators working on two dilapidated neighbouring properties in Melbourne.

The production encountered serious setbacks early on when, just weeks after the programme was announced, a builder abruptly walked off the set. This departure caused substantial delays, pushing the filming schedule approximately seven weeks behind its original September 26th start date.

According to sources familiar with the situation, the builder's exit resulted from a 'disagreement over payment', forcing the production team to urgently search for a replacement builder to take over the project.

Portelli's Role Under Scrutiny

Known widely as 'Mr Lambo', the 36-year-old Portelli has actively used his social media platforms to establish himself as one of the public faces of My Reno Rules. However, insiders connected to the troubled production have indicated that his involvement behind the cameras has been far less visible than his online presence suggests.

While an official statement from Channel Seven last month outlined that part of Portelli's responsibilities would include managing the show's 'live prize draw', production sources told Daily Mail they had witnessed little evidence of his promised 'hands-on' role. 'That's Portelli's role so far - sponsor,' one insider remarked.

Property records confirm that Portelli's company, Xclusive Tech Pty Ltd, purchased the two suburban homes in Bulleen, Melbourne, located 15km from the CBD, for a combined total of $2.7 million. These properties were subsequently 'donated' to the production for use in the series.

The programme will be hosted by Dr. Chris Brown, with insiders suggesting he will be handling the anchoring duties 'solo'. Portelli formally severed ties with Channel Nine's The Block in July of this year, having spent millions purchasing properties across the show's previous three seasons before announcing his permanent departure from the series.
