A fantasy romance series that viewers have declared 'perfect' has been added to ITVX. Fallen, based on the bestselling 2009 novel of the same name by Lauren Kate, is now available for streaming on the platform.
Plot and Cast
The series stars Jessica Alexander as Lucinda 'Luce' Price, a young woman sent to the Sword and Cross reform facility for a serious crime she cannot recall. There, she meets Daniel Grigori (Gijs Blom), a young man to whom she feels an inexplicable attraction. 'Fate and forbidden longing collide in this sweeping fantasy tale,' the broadcaster teased. 'Sent to a cult-like rehab facility for a crime she doesn't remember, a young woman soon uncovers a startling secret.'
The cast also includes Ted Lasso's Sarah Niles and Game of Thrones' Alexander Siddig. The series was a major hit upon its release in 2024, with viewers calling it 'captivating' and saying it had them 'hooked.'

One critic on Rotten Tomatoes wrote: 'Actors Jessica Alexander and Gijs Blom are spellbinding, buzzing with chemistry, and have the ability to bounce off each other's performances amidst the mystery surrounding Sword and Cross.' A viewer commented: 'Perfect, isn't the same thing as the books, but I loved the adaptation. The story is so amazing.'
Another added: 'As someone who has read the entire book series and then watched the 2016 film version, I can confidently say the show is a great watch. Some parts differ from the books, but the main storyline is followed well. Even without reading the books or seeing the movie, it's still a great stand-alone show filled with myth and mystery.'
