Television personality Scarlett Moffatt has danced her way to victory in the 2025 Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special, claiming the coveted Silver Star trophy. The 35-year-old, partnered with professional dancer Vito Coppola, triumphed following a combined vote from the BBC One show's studio audience and judging panel.
A Festive Finale for Beloved Hosts
The pre-recorded Christmas Day extravaganza also served as a poignant farewell to the show's long-standing presenting duo. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman made their final hosting appearance, marking the end of an era for the ballroom juggernaut. The pair didn't just present; they participated in memorable routines. Daly, 56, performed an Argentine tango with Aljaz Skorjanec, while Winkleman, 53, featured in a Love Actually-themed sketch with the show's musical director, Dave Arch.
In a direct nod to the beloved 2003 romantic comedy, Arch, 63, held up placards reading "say it's carol singers" and "to me, you are perfect", recreating the iconic scene where Andrew Lincoln's character declares his love for Keira Knightley's Juliet.
Perfect Score Secures Christmas Crown
Moffatt and Coppola were crowned champions after delivering a show-stopping cha cha to Cher's "DJ Play A Christmas Song". Their performance impressed judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke so much that they awarded the pair a perfect score of 40, propelling them to the top of the leaderboard.
An elated Moffatt said after her win: "This is amazing. I feel like I should have prepared a speech. This is honestly the greatest gift that could have ever happened at Christmas. We've all just had the best time."
She saw off fierce competition from a roster of fellow celebrities, which included:
- All Saints singer Melanie Blatt
- EastEnders star Nicholas Bailey
- Actor and podcaster Babatunde Aleshe
- Westlife singer Brian McFadden
- Gladiator Jodie 'Fury' Ounsley
