This Morning Art Assistant Abi Ann Davis Announces Emotional Exit After ITV Redundancy
This Morning Star's Emotional Exit After ITV Redundancy

An emotional farewell has been shared by a beloved member of the This Morning team, as art department assistant Abi Ann Davis announces her departure from the ITV show following redundancy.

Behind-the-Scenes Star Bids Farewell

Posting on Instagram on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, Davis uploaded a series of nostalgic photographs from her two-and-a-half-year tenure on the popular daytime programme. The images featured her alongside presenters including Dermot O'Leary, Alison Hammond, Cat Deeley, Ben Shephard, and Josie Gibson.

Her heartfelt message began with "GOODBYE @thismorning", acknowledging that being made redundant was not the ending she had anticipated for 2025. She described her time working in the art department as "jaw dropping, hilarious and full to the brim of 'pinch me' moments".

Praise for the 'True Heroes' Behind the Camera

In her post, Davis paid tribute to the off-screen team, calling them the "true heroes" and "the heart of the show". She emphasised their irreplaceable talent and the supportive atmosphere that allowed the programme's magic to happen daily.

She expressed immense pride in the work created and stated she felt "incredibly lucky" to have worked with such an amazing team, both on and off screen, many of whom she now counts as friends.

Looking to the future, Davis announced she is "available and open to any new Art Department opportunities for 2026", asking her network to spread the word that she is back on the market.

ITV's Major Daytime Schedule Reshuffle

Davis's exit is part of a wider transformation for ITV's daytime lineup, which was announced earlier this year. The changes, set to take effect from January 2026, involve a relocation to new premises in central London and a revamped broadcasting schedule.

The key schedule adjustments are:

  • Good Morning Britain: Extended by 30 minutes, now airing from 6am until 9.30am.
  • Lorraine: Moving to a 30-week seasonal schedule, broadcasting from 9.30am until 10am.
  • This Morning: Remaining in its usual slot from 10am until 12.30pm.
  • Loose Women: Returning to its former slot of 12.30pm until 1.30pm, also on a 30-week seasonal basis.

Furthermore, on weeks when Lorraine is not broadcasting, Good Morning Britain will receive an additional 30-minute extension.

The comments section under Davis's Instagram post was quickly filled with supportive messages from colleagues and friends from the ITV family. Fellow contributor Juliet Sear wrote about missing her creativity, while Ashley James simply said, "Going to miss you!!". Former Apprentice winner and presenter Tim Campbell called her an "absolute legend".

Davis signed off her emotional post with a note of gratitude and optimism: "Forever grateful for the memories, the creativity, and everything still to come... It's never Goodbye - it's always, 'See ya later Bab.'"
