Iranian Media Publishes AI-Generated Video of Statue of Liberty Attack
An Iranian news outlet closely linked to the country's state broadcasting network has released a disturbing AI-generated propaganda video depicting the Statue of Liberty being destroyed in a simulated missile strike. The 53-second clip, titled 'One Vengeance for All,' was published by Fars News Agency and serves as a dark montage framing American and Western actions as sources of global suffering.
Montage of Historical and Modern Conflicts
The video opens with scenes referencing violence against Native American populations before shifting to the aftermath of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima during World War II. It then moves through imagery resembling the Vietnam War, followed by footage referencing recent conflicts in Gaza and Yemen, as well as an Iranian school reportedly struck by an American missile earlier this year. The montage also includes a brief insert referencing the scandal of Epstein Island, before turning to images of Iranian military figures and senior leadership killed in US operations, reinforcing themes of retaliation.
Altered Statue and Simulated Attack
The final sequence centers on New York Harbor, where the Statue of Liberty is altered to feature a horned, demonic face in place of its traditional crown and expression. Instead of holding the tablet inscribed with 'JULY IV MDCCLXXVI,' representing the US Declaration of Independence, the AI image holds the Babylonian Talmud in its arms. Moments later, the statue is struck by simulated Iranian missiles, breaking apart in a series of fiery explosions as debris falls into the surrounding water. The simulated attack begins with a violent strike to the statue’s torso, where a massive fireball erupts and a shockwave ripples outward across the harbor.
Escalating US-Iran Tensions
This propaganda release comes amid heightened tensions between the US and Iran, with the war entering its fourth week. Pentagon chiefs have ordered around 2,000 paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East to join some 4,500 Marines already en route to the region. President Donald Trump is prepared to authorize a full-scale invasion if Tehran continues to rebuff his diplomatic overtures, according to members of his inner circle. A proposed 15-point deal would require Iran to dismantle its nuclear and missile programs, but Tehran has rejected the plan and instead demanded US base closures, reparations, and greater control over the Strait of Hormuz.
Detailed Imagery and Emotional Impact
The video features several AI-generated humans shown staring at the sky as if watching the missile heading toward New York soar overhead. Scenes include a Native American man on a hilltop, a child in Hiroshima rubble with a dead infant, a woman in a Vietnam field, a young girl in Gaza amidst shattered buildings, and a man in Yemen surrounded by bombed structures. The clip also highlights the Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school strike in Iran, with a preliminary military investigation blaming the US. The final moments show the Babylonian Talmud sinking below the Hudson River, adding a symbolic layer to the propaganda message.
