Kerry Katona Claims Nigel Farage Texts Her 'Now and Then'
Kerry Katona says she gets texts from Nigel Farage

In a surprising revelation, former pop star Kerry Katona has claimed she receives occasional text messages from Reform party leader Nigel Farage. The ex-Atomic Kitten member made the claim during a candid new interview where she discussed her career, personal struggles, and current work as a content creator.

Unexpected Political Connection

Kerry Katona stated that Nigel Farage texts her "now and then," a connection previously unknown to the public. The 44-year-old entertainer made the comment to The Times newspaper on Thursday 15 January 2026. When probed about the nature of their communication, Katona suggested, "Maybe he wants a discount," in a reference to her successful OnlyFans platform.

The Independent has contacted the Reform party for comment regarding Katona's claims. The interview primarily focused on Katona's difficult childhood, her turbulent experiences with fame, and her recent financial success online.

Katona on Politics, Tax, and Never Voting

The subject of Farage emerged when Katona was asked if she had any political ambitions. She expressed a desire to campaign for better protection for young women entering the entertainment industry but firmly ruled out becoming a politician herself.

"I've never voted in all my life," Katona admitted. She criticised the level of taxation, stating, "I think it's the biggest scam how much tax we pay and yet look at all the potholes round here. It's not good for my Lamborghini." She also highlighted the plight of children in care, adding, "Nothing gets done for them."

From Pop Fame to OnlyFans Success

Katona first found fame in the late 1990s as a member of the girl group Atomic Kitten, before leaving after two years to marry Westlife singer Bryan McFadden. Their subsequent divorce and her battles with drug addiction became constant tabloid fodder.

Reflecting on that period, she described it as "brutal, out of control," with relentless paparazzi attention. "It got to the stage when I thought, this will only be over when they get the headline 'Kerry Katona dead'. It nearly happened," she recalled, calling fame "an abusive drug."

Today, Katona has forged a lucrative career on the subscription site OnlyFans. She claims to make thousands of pounds each month by creating adult content for her subscribers. "I do it all myself," she explained. "It's dead easy. I don't use filters or airbrushing... Why wouldn't I?"

In a related personal note, Katona's daughter with McFadden, Lilly, revealed in 2023 that witnessing her parents' difficult divorce had put her off the idea of marriage entirely.
