Nicholas Braun, the actor beloved for his role as the hapless Cousin Greg Hirsch in the hit series Succession, has successfully had his DUI arrest from last year expunged from his legal record. A judge granted an annulment in December, formally closing the case.
The Arrest and Initial Charges
The incident occurred on 30 August 2025, the Saturday of the Labor Day weekend. Braun, 37, was arrested in Marlborough, New Hampshire, while reportedly driving a Hyundai Tucson in the evening without his lights on. He was visiting the area for a wedding at the time.
Authorities from the Moultonborough Police Department charged him with DUI-impairment and operating a vehicle without lights. He was booked at Carroll County Jail around 11:15pm but was released on his own recognizance without bail roughly an hour later. A malfunctioning police camera spared him a mugshot.
As a condition of his release, the court ordered Braun to refrain from any use of alcohol, narcotics, or controlled substances. In mid-September, he entered a plea of not guilty to both charges.
Case Dismissal and Path to Annulment
The case took a significant turn in early November when the charges against Braun were dismissed. Court documents revealed that a toxicology report showed his blood alcohol concentration was within New Hampshire's legal limit of 0.08 for drivers over 21.
Following the dismissal, Braun's legal team petitioned for an annulment. On 10 December, a judge granted the petition. The official certificate of annulment was issued on 17 December, effectively striking the entire arrest and court proceedings from his record, as confirmed by a spokesman for the New Hampshire Judicial Branch.

Braun's portrayal of the awkward yet cunning Greg 'the Egg' Hirsch on Succession earned him widespread acclaim, including two Screen Actors Guild awards and three Emmy nominations. Away from acting, he is also a noted restaurateur, with ownership stakes in several New York City establishments such as Ray's Bar and Pebble Bar.
The annulment represents a full legal resolution to an episode that began during a holiday weekend visit to New England, allowing the actor to move forward with the matter officially behind him.
